The island of Zol’van happens to be naturally aligned with the Astral Plane which makes the fabric between planes here very thin. As a result, dark magical energies often seep through or create temporary wells of power. It was through one such event that gave rise to the Gith.

Some think the Gith are not of this world at all and they crossed over from the Astral Plane into Kemet long ago. However, there’s another theory that Elves, who were dabbling with the pools of astral magic found on the island, had their bodies twisted and mutated into what would become the Gith.

Whatever their origin, the Gith, while somewhat secretive about their history with those they are unfamiliar with, are still curious and adventurous people who are not averse to leaving their homeland in search of a better life.
