Not much is known about the emergence of Halflings but legend has it they descended from Forest Spirits. They were smaller than even Dwarves and Gnomes which gave them a natural agility. Their love of nature and a simple way of life led to their cities and towns being built using wood, stone and earth or even just burrows dug in the earth.

They are generally peaceful people who tend to avoid violence whenever possible, preferring to live a quiet life among family and friends. Their deep knowledge of nature has led to some Halflings to become very skilled Druids and healers.
