Lizardfolk and Serpentfolk people have come to collectively be called Scalekin but each have names for their own kind that they prefer. The Lizardfolk prefer to call themselves the Skrak and the Serpentfolk refer to their people as the Ik’sska.

Here long before the Humans that surround their homeland, the Scalekin were once simple serpents and lizards. Over the millennia they adapted a keen intelligence and formed their own society, customs and language. They are usually very solitary people, given their history with the Humans.

The difficult terrain of the rainforests and wetlands where they call home helps to shield them from outsiders. Humans often see them as beasts to be dominated but have never managed to secure a foothold within the Scalekin lands even though they would be quick to call them their own.
