Earliest existence: 5,000 years ago

To say the Tieflings’ emergence on Kemet was sudden would be an understatement. After learning of the existence of this new planet and seeking to corrupt and enslave the peoples of this world for his own diabolical schemes, a powerful demon lord named Tol’goth managed to breach the planar barriers that existed between realms. As he did so he and his lieutenants infiltrated a Human kingdom called Perynh, situated on a peninsula on the eastern shores of Monsherba.

Any who were exposed to the infernal forces that this breach unleashed were instantly corrupted, their Human forms twisted and transformed into Tieflings. This event caused the people of Perynh to be initially ostracized by neighboring Humans, who wanted to protect themselves from a corruption they did not understand.

Many Tieflings want to be accepted by the other races, once their own people. Some have come to accept their demonic nature and the chaos they can unleash. This division has led to some apprehension about accepting Tieflings within other societies.
