Earliest existence: 8,000 years ago

Generations of the earliest sea turtles, here even before the Elves, would migrate to the shores of Undaria to lay their eggs. What they didn’t know at the time was that this land is rich in rare plants and compounds that have a variety of alchemical and magical uses. One specific plant that thrives on the shores of Undaria, the Prismbloom, became a favorite food item of the turtles. With each generation of turtles being exposed to the properties of this plant across thousands of years, they eventually gained a greater sentience which led to establishing their own language and culture.

Today, the island of Undaria is home to a large Tortle population. They’ve become masters of alchemy, possibly fueled by their early love for the Prismbloom. Many of the other races see them as curious creatures and some may even seek them out for their advice or alchemical prowess.
