Earliest existence: 12,000 years ago
Very little study has been made into the history of Bugbears, mostly due to their general isolation within the Falhollow Mountains. It’s thought that long ago Orcs and Bugbears shared a common ancestor but evolved differently based on the environment in which they lived.
They tend to be very protective of their territory, gaining a reputation for being fearsome warriors. Some of the other races may approach Bugbears with extreme caution due to this preconceived stereotype.
