Earliest existence: 8,000 years ago

The tale of how Centaurs came into being has long since passed into myth but it’s generally accepted that thousands of years ago a small group of Human hunters were out in the forests of Awyr tracking prey when they, knowingly or unknowingly, crossed into the Feywild. What happened to them during their time across realms was not recorded, perhaps it was a punishment bestowed by the Fey or somehow embarrassing, but when they returned their lower bodies were permanently transformed into that of a horse.

Ostracized by their Human societies they set out into the forests of Awyr to establish their own society. While their numbers are small and they tend to live in tribes, some have chosen to explore the world in search of adventure or learning.
